Tracy Melchior, Autumn Bailey-Ford, Julianna Politsky, Michelle Kantor Denise Smith and Indie Crowd Funder Launch Reg A+ Fund
Los Angeles, CA, December 8, 2016: Indie Crowd Funder, in conjunction with SAG-AFTRA actress Tracy Melchior; PGA producer, Autumn Bailey-Ford; founder of Women in Entertainment LA, Julianna Politsky; and executive director of Cinefemme, Michelle Kantor; announce the launch of a new film fund entitled “Eve Fund 1”. The umbrella fund is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and is formed to develop, produce, and distribute women driven content, for women by women.
“We’re very excited about this fund because woman can now have ownership in this movement." says Tracy Melchior, Creative Committee Member of Eve Fund. "Women and men can take Social EquityTM in this cause and the advancement of women in film”.
Formed using SEC Regulation A Tier 2, private equity exemption, for a total of $30 million dollars, the fund will roll out to accredited and non-accredited investors seeking only an initial $5 million dollars. Feature films, television, new media and virtual reality content will be targeted by the Creative Committee of Industry Woman. The fund requires that all films have a female director and majority female producers. Additionally, the creative committee will encourage the hiring of qualified female below the line positions. “Eve Fund 1, is seeking to make a paradigm shift.” said Autumn Bailey-Ford, Producers Guild of America Producer. “We are not just talking change anymore, we are making changes and allowing other woman (and men) to take ownership with us in this change.”
Eve Fund 1 was recently submitted to the SEC for approval, and the offering is now an indication of interest on www.indiecrowdfunder.com, with an impressive starting investor interest. “I joined this movement because I wanted to help effect change.” says Michelle Kantor, Creative Committee Member. “Women and minorities are underrepresented at the financial table, with Social Equity™ we can empower the fair inclusion of women and financially give back to socially conscience investors."
